• As an outlander dating in Denmark can seem like a myth. Danes are not the most social creatures in the world and therefore tend to skip the traditional dating styles of hooking up at social gatherings or initiating a conversation with a stranger, unless, of course, they are on their third or fourth beer:-)

• Danes, in particular, can be very direct, throwing you off or making you curious.

• Danes like things simple, so overdressing, being too sweet, or being overly generous will not impress a Dane

• The Danish culture is built on equality. Therefore, the first move can be both ways.

Since most Danes seem to skip the traditional way of hooking up, a large number of Danes are on Online Dating sites. Most sites offer to create a profile for free and start searching for partners. But once you initiate contact and reply to messages, you usually have to pay with your Dankort/Credit or Debit card.
